Essiac Tea

EssiacEssiac or Essiac tea is a mixture of different herbs which is believed by some to contain cancer fighting properties. Discovered by a Canadian Nurse Rene Caisse in 1988, she named the tea after last name spelled backwards.

Essiac is made up of four different herbs; Sheep Sorrel, Indian Rhubarb Root, Burdock Root, and Slippery Elm - inner bark. 

There is also another form of essiac that contains 4 additional herbs. Those additional herbs are; Watercress, Red Clover, Blessed Thistle, and Kelp.

Essiac tea has become fairly popular as an alternative medicine for aiding in the treatiment of cancer and other illnesses.
